Acclaimed international artist Elito Villaflor Circa, widely known as Amangpintor, has been honored as the only Filipino featured in the 2025 edition of the world-famous Ripley’s Believe It Or Not! book. His story appears on page 33 in a special segment titled “BLOOD PAINTING,” drawing global attention to his distinctive artistic vision and cultural movement.

The Ripley’s feature highlights Amangpintor’s pioneering creative approach known as Indigenouism Art—a philosophy and artistic movement rooted in indigenous heritage, natural materials, and a passionate campaign against global warming and climate change.

Amangpintor’s work stands apart from traditional art forms. In many of his masterpieces, he uses his own blood and hair as part of the medium, combining these organic elements with acrylic and water-based pigments. His hair strands serve as natural paintbrushes, while tiny amounts of blood symbolize the deep connection between artist and art—making each piece profoundly personal and unique.

Alongside the unconventional materials, Amangpintor is widely known for his live performance painting called “PintAwit.” During PintAwit shows, he paints directly with his hands, fingers, and nails using acrylic water-based paints, while an accompanying singer performs.
